Snow and Sunsets

Some of you may remember the blizzard of Oklahoma in 2009. Well, I was there to capture it. And it was crazy. The first picture is the first morning afterwards when we opened the garage door! The second picture is of an old house that my great-great grandparents built when they got the land in the Oklahoma Land Run. (They still have the original document signed by Roosevelt!) There's even some of the original wallpaper on the walls. The last picture is the sunset I saw on the trip home. Beautiful. Simply beautiful.

Flowers

Flowers. They are so beautiful. And possibly my favorite thing to shoot.

TOMS: tomorrow's shoes

I love TOMS.

A little information...

TOMS was started by an amazing man, Blake Mycoskie. With every pair purchased, TOMS will give a pair of new shoes to a child in need. One for One. TOMS has given over a million pairs of shoes to children in need, and the number just keeps on growing.

Visit www.toms.com for more information on how you can help a child and get a good looking pair of shoes while you're at it!

Nature

These particular pictures were taken while I was on a mission trip to Paonia, Colorado.
Colorado is a beautiful place...

Maggie Sue - Senior pictures

So a couple of weeks ago I did one of my best friend's senior pictures. Here are just a few. Click on the link below if you want to see the rest of them! (Thank you Maggie for letting me take them!)

Introduction

My name is Jenae Hardcastle. I want to be a photographer. I love the aspect of capturing God's beauty in a single photograph. The phrase, "A picture is worth a thousand words" does not ring true to me. Because when I see snapshots of nature, of people, of anything, I'm speechless. How can one supreme being create everything on this earth and be so incredibly detailed and different? It's astounding to me! Amazing! Incredible! Breathtaking!

Which is why I want to capture the beauty. No, a picture is not the same as seeing it in real life, but it sure does come close. And I want to do my best to show off God's beautiful creations in my photography.

And now for a little advertising. If you need somebody for senior portraits, family portraits, or just some random pictures, email me at hardcastlejenae@gmail.com or call me (message me for my number) or find me on Facebook! Of course not only do I do this because I love it, I'm also a poor high school almost college student who needs some money (don't worry, I really don't charge much at all!). And I'm a lot of fun to work with!

So let's work together to capture God's beauty!
