Peeing in PetSmart and walking the Lunsford. #motherhood

So today I took Gus to PetSmart. I needed to get Allie a new collar, but I also got Gus one of those toys where you put a treat inside and they play with it and try to get the treat out (it's supposed to be stimulating for the brain and such, it keeps them busy), and I also found a Corgi calendar in the clearance section (Woo!). But of course, Gus decides that his bladder is full and he needs to go to the bathroom. So instead of trying to tell me he has to go, he just goes. RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF PETSMART. And I mean it wasn't like a little puddle. It was so embarrassing! But of course as I'm cleaning it up, everyone that walks by just says, "Awwwww! He is so precious!" ...I'm like, Yeah that's because you're not cleaning up his pee! Haha. He also met a couple dogs while we were there, and he had so much fun trying to get them to play with him! He's only really been around Willie and Allie, so I was a tad worried about how he would react around strange dogs. But he loves meeting new people AND new dogs!

This is his "I just peed in the middle of PetSmart" face.
(Sorry it's blurry, but it's still cute!)

So after we went to PetSmart, I took him for his first actual walk! I've been leash training him at home, like taking him to the mailbox, or to the car, around PetSmart, but tonight I wanted to see how he would do on a real walk around the Lunsford. He did really good, he really is a fast learner! He met a few dogs on the trail, including a Goldendoodle, which was HUGE compared to Gus. Then as we were walking past the road that leads to the big circle drive in front of Chapel on the Hill, this guy stopped his truck and jumped out and was like, "Oh my gosh I am the biggest Corgi fan! Where did you get him?! He's so cute!!" and then we laughed because a car pulled up behind him so he had to run back to his car and go. It was funny!

He was so happy to be out of the house and be social!
Once he gets his last set of shots he'll be able to go to the dog park.
I can't wait to take him!

More pictures of Gus Gus!

I love Gus. He's such a little sweetheart! He definitely has an attitude, but it's just a part of his charm. Here's more pictures from the last month :)

He's growing up SO fast and I can't believe how big he is! I'm just so happy
I found a best friend that I'll have for years to come! :)

Baylor Medical Center!

So I finally got into the Baylor Medical Center! This will be an absolute blessing to go into this program, and I pray that God will use this time to help me heal, physically, spiritually, and mentally. I will most likely keep you updated on my other blog, Lessons I Learned in 2014.

What's this white stuff on the ground?

So today we actually got SNOW! Well, parts of Abilene did. We just got more ice than actual snow. Regardless, it's Gus' first snow! And he wasn't really sure what to do, but he sure was cute!

Ovaltine Jenkins, Felicia Fancybottom, Ghee Buttersnaps, AKA --> GUS!

A couple weeks ago I found my best friend, Gus! He is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, my dream dog! He is a sweet, spunky, crazy, fun puppy, with a big attitude! But we all have absolutely fallen in love with him. :) And yes, I named him after Gus on Psych (hence all the different names in the post title). Eventually I plan on having another Corgi named Shawn. And maybe another one named Jules. Who knows! ;)

This was a couple days after we got him, when we got his first collar and tag!
And this was two weeks after we got him. He's already changed so much!

He loves his cousin Sawyer! They almost look like twins!
Smiling in his sleep :)
